In fact, obsessive thoughts where the sense of reality is preserved despite the fact that the person's sense of reality is not distorted and the person is not correct is called obsession. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a psychological disease that forces unreasonable thoughts and fears (obsessions) to display repeated behaviors. With OCD, you may not realize that your obsessions are illogical, and you can try to ignore or leave these obsessions. But this only increases your troubles and anxiety. While trying to ignore the disturbing thoughts or get rid of these thoughts, new thoughts and challenges follow the previous ones, so that an incessant cycle is kept going.
Obsessions in general include:
- Fear of contamination or dirt
- Sorting and symmetrical objects
- Aggressive or frightening thoughts that harm oneself or others
- Unwanted thoughts, including aggressiveness, sexual or religious issues
